About Journal

Journal on Mathematics Education (IndoMS-JME) is founded under the collaboration between Sriwijaya University and the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS). It presents new ideas and developments of paramount importance in mathematics education. It seeks to reflect the variety of research concerns within this field and the range of methods used to study them. It deals with methodological, didactical, political, and socio-cultural aspects of teaching and learning mathematics, rather than with specific programs for teaching mathematics. Within this range, IndoMS-JME is open to all research approaches. The emphasis is on high-level articles of more than local or national interest. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of two International Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This process ensures the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal.

All articles published in Journal on Mathematics Education are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, to improve our journal management system, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, long-term archiving, and journal management, since 2022, an article processing charge (APC) of 350 USD applies to papers accepted after peer review paid by authors or their institutions. The fee covers:

The standard twelve (12) pages manuscript. JME will charge an extra 50 USD per page for every additional page.
DOI registration for each paper.
Checking the final article similarity by iThenticate.

A waiver or partial waiver will be available for paper submission of authors from a minimum of five countries, low-income countries, or invited authors decided by the editor in case of lack of funding, excessive length of the submitted manuscript or other reasonable reasons provided by the author during the submission. The author should clearly declare that he asks for a waiver in the comments to the Editor box during their submission. A waiver is most likely to be denied if it is not asked in this stage. The waiver will have no effect on the review result.
