Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of the Journal on Mathematics Education (JME) is as follows:

  1. It should be written in English.
  2. JME's article must adhere to the following word count guidelines: Original Research Articles should range from 6,000 to 10,000 words; Review Articles should range from 5,000 to 8,000 words and include no fewer than 50 references; and Short Communications should range from 3,000 to 5,000 words.".
  3. The article must include abstract in English (250-350 words) and be following by the keywords (3-5 phrases).
  4. It must be used of a reference manager tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting. The citation must be in the form of in-text and bibliography are based on APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association).
  5. It should be prepared by using the JME paper template.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

Original Research Article

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research results, aims, method/model, or objective, without acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 250 to 350 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract, such as the background, novelty, a primary objective, research design, methodology, main findings and discussion, the conclusions, and the impact of this research results.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion - Acknowledgment - Reference - Appendix (optional)
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 30 references primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers with their DOI or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English Language Editor (Proofreader). 

Review Article

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research findings or suggestions, without acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 250 to 350 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract, such as the background, novelty, a primary objective, research design, methodology, main findings and discussion, the conclusions, and the impact of this research results.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Literature Review - Method - Findings - Discussion – Conclusion and Future Direction - Acknowledgment - Reference - Appendix (optional).
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 50 references primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers with their DOI or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English Language Editor (Proofreader).

Short Communication

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research findings or purposed method/model, without acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 250 to 350 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract, such as the background, novelty, a primary objective, research design, methodology, main findings and discussion, the conclusions, and the impact of this research results.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion - Acknowledgment - Reference - Appendix (optional).
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 20 references primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers with their DOI or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English Language Editor (Proofreader).
